BaZura.Biz works closely with a Women's Co-operative in the Philippines. The Co-op's members collect discarded juice containers, rice bags and advertising banners, then transform this trash into beautiful, durable hand-bags and accessories. In addition to helping the local environment, this also provides jobs for 100's of women whose products are used around the world as eco-friendly alternatives to disposable plastic bags. In September 2009, the Co-op was devastated by Typhoon Ondoy. With determined hard work and the support of their many friends and buyers the Co-op has repaired their homes and offices, allowing them to return to full production. BaZura.Biz is proud to work with and support this marvelous group of women. |
